About us

The Queensland Mental Health Commission (the Commission) administers a range of grants and sponsorship programs that support innovative approaches to mental health across Queensland, and build the evidence base to drive system reform aligned with Shifting minds: The Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan 2023-
2028, and associated sub plans Every life: The Queensland Suicide Prevention Plan 2019-2029 (Phase Two) and
Achieving balance: The Queensland Alcohol and Other Drugs Plan 2022-2027

Information Privacy statement

The Commission is collecting personal information through SmartyGrants for the purpose of processing your application and for grants management. Your personal information will be collected and handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and will be provided to the following persons or organisations to process and manage your application:

  • internal and external Evaluation Panel members engaged by the Commission for the purpose of assessing your application
  • internal Commission staff who will be administering and managing your application

If your application is approved, your organisation name and basic information about the funded initiative may be published on the Commission's website, the Queensland Government Open Data Portal, and/or in the Commission's Annual Report. Your personal information (i.e. as the authorised person making an application) will not be disclosed to any other parties without your consent, unless authorised or required by law.

SmartyGrants Privacy Statement

SmartyGrants is the cloud-based grants administration software solution that the Commission uses to manage applications and expressions of interest for various funding programs. Your personal information will be collected and stored using SmartyGrants software, but is not shared with any third party software providers at this time.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Community Grants - Round 1, 2024-25

Current status: Notifications have been sent to the successful and unsuccessful applicants. Please have your contact person check their email inbox for the notification.

QMHC Sponsorship Program for Quarter 3, 2024-25

Current status: Applications under assessment. The panel is currently assessing applications. Expect to notify all applicants within the next two weeks.

QMHC Sponsorship Program for Quarter 4, 2024-25

Current status: Sponsorship round is now accepting new applications via Smarty Grants until 30 May 2025. Please visit this link to view and apply.

The application form has recently been updated. Please double-check the criteria for your Organisation before submitting an application.

 

Lived-Living Experience (Peer) Workforce Grants

Current status: The grant round is now accepting new applications via Smarty Grants until 3:00pm AEST on 23 June 2025. You can review and make an application at this link.

Note: The title of this grant round was previously "Better Care Together Funded Lived-Living Experience (Peer) Workforce - ‘Work Package’ Grants". It has now been shortened to the above.
